In 2020, FIFI4MARINE was commissioned to equip a 43m sailing yacht with a 230L fire extinguishing system. As space is very limited on a sailing yacht, the system was built in a decentralised manner to best conceal the FIFI4MARINE system in the interior of the vessel....

The KAURIS IV, built at Persico Marine's shipyard in Liguria, Italy. It can accommodate eight guests and eight crew members.

The KAURIS IV's hybrid propulsion system has unique advantages: the DC bus and Lithium Ion batteries ensure a completely silent mode at night even with the air conditioning on.
Bow and stern thrusters with electric motors connected to two retractable shafts allow the yacht to be manoeuvred emission-free and in complete silence. The power plant on the vessel is equipped with two battery packs with Lithium Ion batteries, each supplying 100 kW/h.

At full power, the KAURIS IV can reach an exceptional cruising speed of 15 knots.
With a sail area to displacement ratio much higher than that of any other megayacht in this category, the KAURIS IV is fast, even in just 6 knots of wind.
Thanks to the hull shape and lifting keel, the yacht is very stable in strong winds.
