About us

The team at FIFI4MARINE is happy to help think about the safe deployment of Lithium Ion batteries.

Sustainability is already, or increasingly, playing an important role at many companies.

Replacing fossil fuel propulsion when entering and leaving a port is increasingly a key requirement of port authorities. In addition, more and more different types of waterborne transport are equipped with electricity-powered engines such as boats, ships, ferries and cargo transport.

More inland vessels are also expected to charge using shore power facilities. In ports, you see more and more initiatives where batteries are included for the purpose of power supply. Lithium Ion batteries, large and small, have a chance of igniting. The disadvantage of such fires, also known as Thermal Runaway, is that it is difficult to control. Let alone extinguishing them.

FIFI4MARINE consists of a team of specialists. Knowledge and experience has been gained from our past as a battery manufacturer and battery supplier. Because we understand better than anyone else how a potential fire in a Lithium Ion battery arises, we have developed an effective Lithium Ion fire extinguishing solution.

Every employee understands that in case of a battery fire, quick and effective extinguishing ensures a safe Lithium Ion battery solution. From in-depth knowledge of battery technology, detection technology and electrical control of microprocessors from the battery extinguishing system, to optimising foam viscosity which can extinguish and post-extinguish a Thermal Runaway of Lithium Ion batteries with as little resources as possible.

In doing so, it contributes to a safe environment for crew, passengers and cargo. Continuity or a quick return to normal is our objective.

FIFIMARINE can help you with standard solutions but also with customised solutions.

We are proud to present our team aan you before.

Cor Meedendorp

CEO / Founder
The son of the inventor of one of the first cow's milk machines, Cor started his career as an electrician. From the beginning, he gained a lot of experience in luxury yacht building.

He had his own installation company for luxury yacht building in which he was increasingly asked to equip yachts and ships with batteries to provide the desired power supply. As a result, Cor started developing and manufacturing his own battery. Initially deliveries in the shipping and yacht building industry in which he is seen as an expert in battery technology. The need in the market to also install increasingly safe batteries in which a possible Thermal Runaway has to be extinguished made Cor Meedendorp also focus on developing a thorough and effective extinguishing system. His maritime knowledge and experience, as well as his knowledge of batteries, naturally came in handy for this.

Since 2017, Cor has helped many shipping and yacht building related projects and companies with FIFI4MARINE to complete a safe battery environment by offering effective foam extinguishing systems. In addition to FIFI4MARINE, Cor Meedendorp is also CEO of FIFI4PARKING fire extinguishing solutions for unmanned automatic Parking Garages and (EOS) energy storage systems that help absorb grid congestion.

Ina Koen

Manager Finance / Office Manager
Ina is the indispensable link in the office. She takes care of finances, administration, HR matters and ensures that all matters relating to the organisation of the company are taken care of. She takes care of the financial reports and helps with analyses, budgeting and optimisation of financial processes.

Ina gained extensive experience at many other companies in similar positions before joining us. She has a keen interest in technology and therefore feels like a fish out of water at FIFI4MARINE.

Aaron Musch

Project manager
Aaron drives the coordination of our projects, with his background in physics and technical expertise playing a key role. From customer requests to documentation.

Aaron makes sure everything gets to the right place and no detail is overlooked. His greatest motivation is pride in our solutions. His working method is characterised by clear communication and the ability to perfectly align all involved, always with a keen eye for efficiency and clarity.

Wim de Dobbelaar

Manager Projects
Wim lives in Urk and works from Zwaag as Manager Projects and is ultimately responsible for the course of events within FIFI4PARKING and closely involved in FIFI4MARINE. He is fascinated by the power of the CAF system, specifically in stopping thermal runways in battery fires.

With a career that started in electrical engineering and progressed to (interim) management in the food sector, Wim brings with him a broad technical baggage. His motivation? Creating a safe living environment through technical source control. He strongly believes in sustainable partnerships and taking care of each other. Do you have questions about fire protection for Lithium-ion (EOS/BESS), car parks or marine applications? Wim will be happy to help you with a suitable solution or honest advice.

Pieter Muller

Business Development Manager
Pieter is a business developer at FIFI4MARINE. He focuses specifically on selling fire extinguishing systems for car parks. This is another application area for our fire extinguishing systems, FIFI4PARKING.

Pieter gained extensive experience and expertise in the industry. He held various management positions in, among others, the international aircraft industry.

Andre Beuving

Project engineer / Extinguisher engineer
Andre is responsible for FIFI4MARINE's workshop. He ensures that all fire extinguishing systems are assembled and tested before being transported to the client. He takes care of making the extinguishing systems ready for transport.

He is instrumental in designing and innovating our extinguishing solutions. In addition, Andre is indispensable in taking care of set-ups used in extinguishing foam demonstrations. Andre is the person to contact when it comes to contacts with suppliers.

Wouter de Boer

Engineer
Wouter studied mechanical engineering and can often be found behind his monitor working out drawings. When things get busy, Wouter also knows how to make himself very useful in the workshop to help assemble the systems of ongoing projects.

Jitse Dreijer

Engineer
Jitse is our newly graduated HBO (Inholland 2025) mechanical engineer who stayed with us immediately after his high-profile graduation project. He developed a KIWA-approved extinguishing system for lithium batteries in lockers.

With his technical sharpness, practicality and eye for detail, Jitse translates safety challenges into smart, compact solutions. Clear in communication, always efficient and driven by one thing: pride in systems that really save lives. Whether designing, testing or explaining. Jitse is at home in all markets.
